Story:
Once free of the hustle and bustle of Cander's deceptively colourful streets, Daizu took a moment to breathe in the country air and focus on his current predicament. He had often been contracted to deal with bandits and their crude hierarchy of self-glorified leaders, but something about this particular situation felt a little unusual. The local thieves and bandits often spent their days ambushing caravans and scaring travellers, but Hadren's entourage had seemingly devised a trade route of sorts - using stolen resources naturally. Their takeover of the nearby Furlorne mine had Daizu a little concerned, bandits are not ones for manual labour - why else be rogues if not for the lack of traditional effort? Indeed, being contracted to remove a man responsible for turning outcasts into an efficient work force is not Daizu's everyday fare.

As Cander became a distant flicker on the horizon and the mountains began to open up, Daizu could smell the unmistakable scent of raw voidium on the wind. The mine was close. The rain was an irritation, but a welcome mask to his approach - although naturally he was well trained for a silent advance. Interestingly the entrance to the mine was unguarded, but Daizu was never one to question good fortune and slipped downward into the darkness below...
