Windows 7 Build 6956 leaked by an attendee at WinHEC China | 1.8GBMicrosoft is present in China since yesterday for a conference dedicated to WinHEC Asian countries. On this occasion, the publisher has once again presented Windows 7, but later than that shown during the PDC in October.
Versions or "builds" are numbered according to their compilation. Whenever developers carry out changes and to compile the code, the build number increases by 1. Thus, milling given to the participants of the PDC and the first was the build WinHEC 6801. This shows that the publisher now is build 6956, so much more advanced.
The presentation made by Microsoft does not specifically identify new features, but some elements are confirmed, while others, more peripheral, are emerging.
Microsoft provides between two new systems, the sequence of "boot" of Windows 7 takes 6 seconds less than Vista. This animation may be amended, the publisher making up to OEMs so they can integrate their own logo on their machines. It imagines that the result will be more or less happy according to the amendments.
The new Windows 7 taskbar shown during the PDC is still there, although her features have changed slightly towards a more homogeneous. The Jump Lists, which allow access to documents for an application and certain features, are active and accessible by right-clicking on an icon in the toolbar. In the Start menu, Jump Lists are also present in the form of small arrows to the right of each application.

It didnt took more time for Windows 7 build 6953 in getting leaked and its already available for download on torrent websites. It was edward_han who managed to steal a VHD (Virtual Hard Disk) image of Windows 7 Build 6956 out of WinHEC 2008 and has publicly released on internet for downloading.
Windows 7 Build 6956 is available is VHD and not as DVD or ISO which can be burned on DVD and used for installing Windows 7. VHD or Virtual Hard Disk is image file of hard drive having pre installed Windows 7. Hence no need of any installation but in order to play and experiment with Windows 7 Build 6956 you have to load this VHD image in any of the following virtualization software for windows.
How to Install or Load Window 7 Build 6953 VHD (Virtual Hard Drive) Image
Download any of bellow Virtualization Software for windows and mount VHD file using this softwares.
1. Virtual Server 2005
2. Hyer-V HyperVisor
3. Windows 7 Disk Management to load the VHD image
4. Virtual PC VPC 2007 also supports VHD format.
Windows 7 build 6956 is speculated to be beta version only and their wont be much different in features with actual Windows 7 beta 1 which is support to get releases in January 2009.

How To Install

We can now successfully install Windows 7 Build 6956 and it is very easy. In order to do so these are the steps:
P1: How to Boot VHD`s using Windows 7
Requirements:
1) MUST have Windows 7 Build 6801 already installed
2) Windows 7 Build 6801 CD (Required for Boot)
Steps:
1) Extract the RAR
2) Open Start Menu, Right Click Computer, Choose Manage. Then go to disk management and create a primary partition.
3) Select the primary partition and on the right sidebar, click on More Actions. Right click and Attach VHD. Go to the VHD file located inside the backup folder of the files you extracted.
4) After you have attached the VHD, copy all the VHD files into an empty partition
5) Now reboot but make sure you boot with the DVD. Run the startup repair and repair boot
6) Restart and select the Windows 7 Build 6956 at the boot menu but DO NOT push enter. Push f8 instead to go to safe mode
7) Wait till all your devices become installed in safe mode
Reboot, and you get windows 7 build 6956

What is required:
1) Windows 7 Build 6801 installation
2) Windows 7 Build 6801 CD
3) Ghost 12 CD
4) Another partition or hard disk
Steps:
1) Boot up into Windows 7 Build 6801
2) Install the Ghost 12 Program
3) Download the torrent file of 6956, extract, and mount the VHD through disk management
4) Launch Ghost 12 and backup the VHD
5) Put the .v2i backup file created by Ghost onto another partition or hard drive
6) Insert Ghost 12 CD and boot from here
7) Browse for the .v2i file
Wait until the backup is doen
9) Restart your computer but insert your Windows 7 Build 6801 CD
10) Boot from CD
11) Pick the language
12) Choose Startup Repair
13)They say it discovered an error from startup, choose Startup and repair
14) Reboot and run windows 7 6956
Please note that Windows 7 Build 6956 VHD is already preloaded with Drivers which may conflict with your drivers. It wont be easier to load Windows 7 build 6956 VHD.
