The Pitt
The Pitt is the second downloadable content pack, and allows the player to journey to the industrial raider town known as The Pitt, located in the remains of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The pack features several new weapons, new armor and clothing items, four achievements and around 4 - 5 hours of gameplay.

The Pitt was released on March 24, 2009 on Xbox Live and Games for Windows Live, but was quickly removed due to glitches in the gameplay which made the Xbox 360 version of the expansion unplayable. Further investigation was performed by Bethesda and Microsoft, and according to a Bethesda's official Twitter, as of 10:00am PST on March 25, 2009[59], the expansion was again being uploaded to Xbox Live, and was again made available that afternoon. For those who downloaded it on March 24 in the morning, glitches are still apparent


Those issues have not been reported for the PC version.

How to install The Pitt
1. Extract contents into "\Fallout 3\data\ folder"
2. Run Patch 1.4
3. Apply the 1.4 crack
4. Run FalloutLauncher.exe and choose The Pitt under Data Files
5. Play
6. Anyplace in the map you will receive a signal from a new radio, a message from Werhner, and this will be a New Mission

Like all plugins you just put it into your Data folder and click its box in the Fallout launcher, or you could use Fallout Mod Manager to help you with all your mods.

Possible solutions to game errors/problems

1. Click Start
2. Click All Programs (or just Programs, depending on the version of Windows, whether theyre using classic, etc.)
3. Go to the ffdshow folder.
4. Click Audio decoder configuration.
5. In the left hand pane, click Info & debug. This is the second entry in the list.
6. In the right hand pane, near the bottom, find a check box labelled Dont use ffdshow in:
7. Check that box, and in the text box underneath (it lights up when you check the check box), add fallout3.exe (dont include the quotes). If there is already something in that box, put a semi-colon ( ; ) after whats already there, and fallout3.exe after that. Do NOT use spaces, since ffdshow will think thats part of the filename. A valid entry would be explorer.exe;fallout3.exe (without quotes).
8. Finally, click Ok and start Fallout 3.

Problem #2 : Fallout 3 Freezing randomly in the game, sometimes permanently.

The Fallout 3 may not be able to recognize the Dualshock 3 controller (DS3). Disable the DS3 and enable the classic 6-axis controller. Turn them off again and re-enable the Dual Shock 3 and the controls should work properly
